Little did my Mom know when she planned to visit us in Ozark, Alabama, that I would put her to work! What a great little worker she is, too. Ever cheerful and always supportive, no matter what my current passion, Mom is there for me and always encouraging. Lucky me, I had her here for a spell and asked her help in making batches of laundry soap and filling waxed paper bags with sodium carbonate (one of the main ingredients needed to make the soap). I was scheduled to give a talk at our newly-opened local nursery, The Potting Shed. The evening's topic was "Going Green" and I gave a demo on making laundry detergent. Since the washing soda cannot be purchased locally, I wanted to give everyone a sample of the sodium carbonate, ergo, Mom filling the bags. Thanks, Mom.
