Have you ever heard the expression "catch them doing something right"? I remember reading/hearing this bit of advice about parenting and how to catch our kids doing something right and praising them for it. The same would apply to teachers and a classroom of students.
Well, on this occasion, I felt like the child who was 'caught' doing something right! While checking out at the local grocery store, all bagged up and ready to leave, I ran into a fellow Master Gardener. It felt wonderful being caught doing it right. All my groceries had been packed up in my canvas and home-made shopping bags. I don't think she noticed but I sure did!
Lately, I've been hearing this a lot: "I have canvas bags, I just keep forgetting to take them in the store with me." That was me about a year ago. I had to make a commitment to remember my bags. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Like learning to buckle my seat belt. I made a commitment to do it and now I never go anywhere without buckling up!
Bag Up!
