I never knew a fabric-covered coffee can could be so elegant. This three-pound Maxwell House coffee can was the perfect receptacle for this Polly alocasia. Cut to size and fitted to cover the blue print label of the can, this rich looking material and matching bow was the perfect accompaniment to the unique, eye-catching pattern of these tropical leaves. Gently nestle your potted plant inside your 'beautified' plant urn for no-spill drainage. This particular coffee can is not made to hold copious amounts of water (the can has a metal bottom and the sides are made of cardboard) but will last long enough to delight the eye of the recipient of your gift.
You'll need a 3-pound coffee can, a scrap of fabric large enough to cover your can, some spray adhesive, scissors, a ruler, a matching ribbon and a beautiful potted plant that will easily fit into your can. Measure the outside of your can and cut the fabric to fit with a bit of overlap on the seam. Spray the wrong side of the fabric and press firmly onto the can. Adorn with a ribbon and call it gorgeous.
